Six Nations Gathers for 111th Celebration of Bread and Cheese
05/19/08 – Though the weather did not cooperate family, friends, tourists converged on the fair grounds and Gaylord Powless Arena to take in the annual tradition on Six Nations of the Grand River that is Bread and Cheese.

The Celebration of Bread and Cheese is an event Queen Victoria granted to Six Nations during the war time era of pre-confederation, today Bread and Cheese has evolved into a major celebration complete with a midway full of rides, games and vendors.

As the day progressed everyone who stood in line braving the weather made the most of the day’s namesake, being their bread and cheese.
