Giant Colon Raises Awareness for Early Detection of Cancer
06/06/11 – As part of this past Community Awareness Week, Six Nations Public Health presented an Information Open House raising awareness about the early detection of all forms of cancer.

The Juravinski Cancer Centre, Miles-To-Go Cancer Support and the Canadian Cancer Society set up information booths in the community hall. People picked up flyers that stated the best way to combat the onset of cancer is early detection.

In particular, the Colorectal Cancer Association of Canada presented the Giant Colon Tour. The Giant Colon exhibit had an interactive display that pointed out the early warning signs of Colorectal Cancer and how this disease plays out if left undetected.
