Six Nations Honours Members of the Buffalo Bandits and Minnesota Swarm
09/02/08 – The reigning champion Buffalo Bandits for the 2008 National Lacrosse League Season captured their glory with a direct Six Nations of the Grand River connection, 5 Players from the Championship team call Six Nations home as the Six Nations Elected Council chose to honour that at the General Council Meeting of September 2, 2008. The 5 members of the team from Six Nations are as follows: Ken Montour, Clay Hill, Delby Powless, Cory Bomberry, and Roger Vyse.

Again with another Six Nations connection and capturing 2008 Rookie of the Year Honours Craig Point of the Minnesota Swarm put up 27 goals with 34 assists over 16 games to garner the league recognition.

Joining the General Council Meeting fresh off her journey from Prince Edward Island Megan Jamieson gave a thank you speech to Council for their support in seeing her off to the Maritimes to compete in the Eastern Canadian Softball Championships. As part of the Brantford Bobcats Jamieson and her team made it all the way to finals, unfortunately championship glory was not the end results.
