Six Nations Public Works oversees
the Infrastructure of Six Nations
of the Grand River through the
mission of each section:
Roads - To provide and promote the
means for safe, comfortable and
convenient vehicular movement
and circulation systems for
the people of the Six Nations,
within the designated
rights-of-ways.
Landfill - To provide an efficient and
effective scheme for controlling,
directing and handling of waste
material on the Six Nations Reserve.
Water - To provide adequate potable
water to meet the needs of residents
of the Village of Ohsweken and all
served by the system, both for consumption and fire protection.
Sewer - To provide a safe collection and disposal system for the residents of the Village of Ohsweken.
Septic Service - To provide safe disposal of septic sludge for stand alone septic beds.
School Maintenance - To operate and maintain all schools in an optimum condition such that the environment therein is healthy, safe and conducive to learning.
Mechanic Garage - To strive to maintain all Public Works vehicles under the Ministry of Transportation guidelines for employee and public safety.
Environmental Office - To protect, conserve, restore, and increase awareness of the environment on the Six Nations of the Grand River Territory.
