Six Nations Salutes Jr. B. Lacrosse Dominance

02/07/12 – With the Queen’s stadium anthem of “We are the champions” playing in the background, two Six Nations Rebels Jr. B. Lacrosse teams were honoured for their champion status.
.jpg) Councillor Wray Maracle introduced the Rebels players and team executive members who came for the presentation and congratulated them for their victory. Several players proudly showed off their trophies and a plaque commemorating their 2011 Founders Cup Championship win.
Members of the 2008 Rebels team were also honoured for their 2008 Founders Cup Championship victory.
This coming summer the Rebels will host the 2012 edition of the Founders Cup here on Six Nations. With Six Nations of the Grand River as the host community, the Rebels will automatically be entered into the championship tournament. The winning Junior B lacrosse team of 16 and 21 year old players will be decided in the Iroquois Lacrosse Arena.
Presently the Rebels are working out in a training camp and will be looking to defend their championship. Alex Martin summed up quite simply that they plan to defend their championship. Their strategy is: “Work Hard, Play Hard, Hit Everything That Moves.”
