CFS - Primary Prevention Services Primary Prevention Services This Unit is responsible for initiating and supporting various child, youth and adult programs, which, are directed to supporting and strengthening individual, family and community functioning. How to Access Service The Primary Prevention Services office is open form 8:30 am to 4:00 pm from Monday to Friday except for Civic Holidays. Please contact the program secretary at (519) 445-2950, for specific program/event information and to register for Community Support programs. Responsibilities include: Development and facilitation of primary prevention (social/educational) child and youth groups and programs Development and facilitation of self help/mutual aid support programs Organization of activities that support and strengthen individual family and community functioning. The goal of this unit is to support and strengthen the individual, family and community by offering a variety of activities. This unit is responsible for: -Workshops for the community (i.e. Stress Management) -Special Events for the community (i.e. Community Awareness Agency Events) -Programs for ages 6 and up for the community (i.e. Afterschool Programs, Family Fun Night, Parent Relief) -Resource Development Services has a library and free computer access for community use. This unit also provides volunteer recruitment, training and support. Please call if interested in volunteering, we welcome your contributions Who is Eligible? Children 0-18 years old and their families who are residents of Six Nations Band Members residing off-reserve for less than one year.
