Welfare - Ontario Works To provide financial assistance to all Six Nations band members residing in its territory. We strive to support individuals both financially and emotionally to attain their goal of self-sufficiency. We also are in the process of implementing the full Ontario Works Program. Financial assistance is made up of 2 parts: •  Basic Needs: for food and clothing for yourself, partner, and any dependents. •  Shelter: (based on family size) this includes rent, heat, hydro, gas, water, sewage, and house insurance. To be eligible for Ontario Works, an applicant must be: •  a resident of Ontario; •  in immediate financial need; and •  willing to participate in employment assistance activities.
