Duty to report

Become a Community Care Helper or Leader

If you suspect a child is in need of help, you need to make the call and reach out and help protect the child.

In 2018 the age of protection was raised to include youth up to 18 years old. Youth who are 16 and 17 years old are now eligible to receive protection, while reporting for 16 and 17-year old youth is not mandatory, please contact us if you have concerns about a youth unborn to 18 years old.

It is everyone’s responsibility to ensure all children get their right to safety.

The application and evaluation process is carefully designed to confirm your suitability to become an Parent or Helper and ensure that you are fully committed. We will need to learn an incredible amount about you and your family, your past, your relationships and your attitudes.
