JOB SUMMARY: Assist the Consultation and Accommodation Process Team in the carrying out of the duties and responsibilities of the Consultation and Accommodation Process Team. A strong focus on promoting and achieving environmental enhancements and environmental review. To assist with reviewing background information and responding to the Grand River Notification Agreements (GRNA) notifications, other related projects, and notices about development within Six Nations’ Treaty Territory.
To assist with presenting to proponents/developers on Six Nations Treaty impacts from natural resources, i.e. Aggregates, etc. To assist in presenting Six Nations of the Grand River (SNGR) Land Right Issues to Municipalities, Federal and Provincial Ministries, and proponents. To educate Municipalities, Federal and Provincial Ministries and proponents/developers on the duty to consult with SNGR and how it is implemented. To be a member of the Consultation and Accommodation Process (CAP) Team and follow and implement the CAP Team policy, including, negotiating accommodation agreements, and implementing the environmental levy.
Wage: Minimum $52,900
