New Six Nations Housing Build in partnership with Habitat for Humanity
On Tuesday, January 24, Councillors Greg Fraser, Sherri-Lyn Hill, and Helen Miller attended the Foundation Celebration for Six Nations Housing’s new build, Onondaga 1. Onondaga 1 is a 5-unit townhome located on Harold Road and is a partner build with Habitat for Humanity Hamilton and Habitat for Humanity Heartland Ontario. The build was made possible through funding from the Six Nations Economic Development Trust and Indigenous Services Canada.
These types of partnerships will help Six Nations members stay within their home community by giving them access to affordable housing on the territory.
