(June 2, 2025) OHSWEKEN, ON – Six Nations of the Grand River 59^th Elected Council (SNGREC) has approved for the Public Works Department to prepare to resurface the following roads in 2025 within their current budget:

• Road 152 (4th Line between Mohawk and Seneca Road)
• Road 157 (4th Line between Cayuga Road and railroad tracks)
• Road 243 (Chiefswood Road between 2nd and 3rd Line)

Additionally, due to the rapid deterioration of the Six Nations road network, SNGREC also allocated funds from the Federal Fuel Charge Proceeds Fund for Indigenous Governments to resurface the following roads:

• Road 274 (Cayuga Road between 3^rd and 4^th Line)
• Road 265 (Onondaga Road between 4^th and 5^th Line)
• Road 235 (Seneca Road between 4^th and 5^th Line)
• Road 163 (5^th Line between Seneca and Chiefswood Road)
• Road 123 (1^st Line between Seneca and Chiefswood Road)
• Road 253 (Tuscarora Road between 2^nd and 3^rd Line)
• Road 232 (Seneca Road between 1^st and 2^nd Line)
• Road 233 (Seneca Road between 2^nd and 3^rd Line)
• Road 255 (Tuscarora Road between 4^th and 5^th Line)

Work on the additional nine roads will commence once design and tenders are prepared and contractors are secured.
