Six Nations Fire & Emergency Services (SNFES) effectively and efficiently provides professional fire and emergency services protection to the Six Nations of the Grand River community. While upholding our credo of Courage, Respect, Discipline, and Honour, our full-time fire service members promote and ensure safety through recognized and measurable industry best practices, education, and prevention.

Fire Chief

Ashley Russell-Taylor is the Fire Chief and Community Emergency Management Coordinator. He expresses his passion and ambition for the Disaster and Emergency Services through development and coordination of leadership capacities, specialized training, project management, and Indigenous advocacy initiatives across Turtle Island. He focuses on emergency response and training through an Indigenous lens to identify vulnerabilities, mitigate risks and promote safety.
