Water service has been restored to community members on the waterline after the break was located and isolated.
The Boil Water Advisory remains in effect until Public Works receives two clear water samples and confirms it is safe to lift the advisory.
Those on the waterline, please continue to follow the advisory and monitor SNGR social media for updates.
We thank community members for their patience, understanding, and cooperation

COMMUNITY NOTICE:
BOIL WATER ADVISORY FOR COMMUNITY MEMBERS
ON THE WATERLINE
Date of Issue: July 9, 2026 | Time of Issue: 6:30 PM
Area Affected
Community members and businesses connected to the waterline only.
Reason for Advisory
A Boil Water Advisory has been issued for those connected to the waterline in the Six Nations of the Grand River community due to a watermain break that has caused reduced water pressure.
Loss of water pressure can increase the risk of contaminants entering the drinking water distribution system. As a precautionary measure, all water used for drinking and food preparation should be brought to a rolling boil for at least one minute before use until further notice.
What You Should Do
Community members on the waterline are advised to:
- Boil all water used for drinking, making ice, brushing teeth, washing fruits and vegetables, and preparing food.
- Bring water to a rolling boil for at least one minute before use.
- Conserve water and limit non-essential water use until further notice.
What We Are Doing
Six Nations Public Works crews are currently investigating and repairing the watermain break, restoring normal water pressure, and assessing the integrity of the drinking water system.
Advisory Status
This Boil Water Advisory will remain in effect until repairs are completed, water pressure has been restored, and water quality has been confirmed as safe through appropriate testing.
Residents will be notified when the advisory has been lifted.
